Thousands of us gathered at Civic Park to promote women’s rights, human rights and decency. The turn out far exceeded my expectations, similar to other marches held throughout the world.
Women and families poured into the park holding umbrellas and carrying signs expressing their freedom of speech.
Many girls and young women marched with colorful and creative hand made signs. Their enthusiasm and courage ensures a brighter future.
There were multi-generations of women standing together for what they believed to be right.
Fathers showed up in support of their daughters.
There was a diverse group with many positive messages.
And voicing concerns for a variety of important issues.
At noon we began to march, overflowing onto the downtown streets. Walking amongst so many others with a similar vision was an emotional experience of solidarity and hope.
TOGETHER LET’S MAKE AMERICA KIND AGAIN!
